As a start-up journal that is devoted to highest standards of quality (rejection rate: ca. 80%, estimated impact: 1.64–2.83, immediacy: 1.17 in 2006 and 0.71 in 2007, see editorial of volume 3, issue 1), the International Journal of Internet Science appeared once each year in 2006–2009, will appear twice each year in 2010–2011, and likely switch to quarterly issues thereafter.
